I got the opportunity to try out a FRP 99cc mini gas bike recently, and this little thing packed quite the punch.
One thing I was an immediate fan of is that it ships with a rechargeable LED headlight and even includes a neck gaiter, something perfect for off-road rides.

Overall, the TM15 is an awesome mid-size dirt bike for someone who just wants something easy and fun to ride. It’s not CA CARB-compliant, so you can’t sell it in California, but for hitting the trails elsewhere, it offers great performance for the price.
This bike was surprisingly easy to assemble, and I’m new to this. The quality of construction is sound, and I’m amazed at how tough everything felt once I had it built.
I was a little leary at first, but I purchased it and tried it out and have been happy ever since.

I’ve recently got my hands on the MotoTec 99cc 4-stroke mini dirt bike, and it was an absolute blast to ride.

I was able to cruise in my rides at speeds of up to 28 mph, and with a tank capacity of 0.31 gallons, I craftily go around 25 miles before needing to refuel which is fit for some leisurely cruising or weekend-type adventures.
This bike feels very sturdy with its steel frame, and it supports my body weight of 200 lbs quite nicely. I was struck too how stable it felt, even over dirt, gravel or slight inclines (up to 12°).
I also felt secure riding on multiple surfaces thanks to its rear disc brake and knobby tires.
Other characteristics also make it beginner-friendly as well as safe. There are rechargeable LED lights with different settings for night visibility, and the safety kill switch is a nice touch when you want to shut off your engine in a hurry.
At 75 lbs, this was easy to move around and store away with little issue while having fun straight out of the box.

My single complaint would be that the front tire did not come with a Schrader valve. Fortunately, I had been able to borrow one from an old riding lawnmower tire, so it wasn’t a huge deal. Everything else has been so simple, and issue free.
I purchased this 50cc mini dirt bike for my son and to be honest, it ended up being better than I thought.
The bike is pretty lightweight, I think it weighs about 55 pounds, so it was simple for me to unpack and set up.
Size-wise, it’s small enough to be able to cram it in the garage without hogging up too much space, but still large enough to have the feel of a real dirt bike. The packing was decent, they were all received without damage.

We originally purchased two OGM40 mini bikes for our 6 and 9-year-old grandsons and they’ve had a blast.
We did find that the 6-year-old struggled to straddle the bike initially; however, we were able to adjust down the seat height by fiddling with our rear shock, it’s very enjoyable to ride like this.
Though the sticker claims they’re for ages 13 and up, that’s way off, these are ideal for younger beginners.
It took about 30 minutes to assemble, which was very easy with the instructions and tools provided. Just make sure to pump up the tires and oil the chain before that first ride.
We could tell the bikes were not high-end Hondas, but we also quickly learned how well made they are overall.
They’re great for kids to ride, even without the low-ratio gearbox and manual clutch. Both brakes are handlebar-mounted cable-operated disk brakes, and they do a good job, though the rear brake is on the wrong side if you’re used to riding bicycles.
The ride is fine, and the wheels and tires take trails in stride. One of the bikes had a minor issue with flooding carburetor, but FRP’s customer service was great— they immediately offered to send an upgraded carburetor.
These are good bikes for total beginners in the pre-teen category. The specs seem close if not accurate for off-road trails and the bikes are safe, fun and reliable once setup correctly.
We are very pleased with this purchase and would probably buy them again, given the low cost, ease of maintaining and great customer service.

I just purchased my child 58cc 4-stroke mini dirt bike and it has been a riot. Not bad for an engine with less of a punch that it lets on, picking up from 0 – 21.75 MPH quite smoothly.
For off-road escapades, perfect for providing my kid with enough adventure all the while being totally safe for beginners aged 8–14.
I love the adjustable speed control as it lets him start off really slow and work his way up as he gets used to it.
The build quality is solid. The steel frame remains steady and stable, supporting a good 143 lbs without any problem.
The knobby tires and responsive suspension do grass, dirt and gravel really well, so backyard trails or small camping trips will be much more fun.
Even when riding over bumpy roads, it feels steady and secure, giving me added peace of mind as a parent.
Ialso liked how easy it was to begin. The bike arrives about 85% assembled, all I had to do was mount the rear shock, front wheel, handlebars and fender.
The pull-start is basic and there’s no fiddly electronics here. Having it be EPA certified also makes me feel safe and environmentally conscious.
Overall, it is a fun little bike and good for beginners which my kid is already loving it.

We bought a 40cc FRP mini bike for our son who is 11 years old and he adores it! It has a reasonable top speed, with good acceleration, so it doesn’t scare him but he still enjoys it.
It was super easy to assemble and it starts every time without fail. Filling up the oil was a little bit of a hassle at first until I got used to it, but other than that it came ready to go all you have to do is add gas and I had him riding in minutes.
The gas tank is small so if he rides all day, eventually he’ll have to refuel it, but that’s just one of those things for a bike this size.
I also appreciate that there are replacement parts, so we don’t need to toss an entire bike if something breaks. With a bit of care and maintenance, it will last you quite a few years.
