Overall, from my time with the 16V 30Ah LiFePO4 battery, it’s a very solid option for high-draw fishing electronics. I just installed it for my forward facing sonar and, out of the box, it did exactly what I expected.
Fully charged reads 16.6V, great for bright and consistent sonar screens. 30Ah capacity provides great runtime for a whole day on the water without burning your batteries in mid-trip.
For size and portability, it’s roughly the same as a large motorcycle battery, but much lighter than standard lead-acid options, perfect for easy carrying and stowage on the boat. It comes with a very nice charger that works just fine, so bootup was quick and easy.

Having used this 16V LiFePO4 charger, I can tell you it’s made for fast charging without sacrificing safety.
First of all, ensure you have a 16V LiFePO4 battery because these require special chargers to reach maximum capacity and life, using a common lead-acid charger won’t do the job.
A 10A charging rate makes a really huge difference once it is connected. It fills my batteries about twice as fast as 5A chargers do, and if you are running multiple devices or need a quick turnaround between rides this really saves time.
A built-in cooling fan helps maintain the temperature of your charger and battery, even over longer sessions. It also does well in another area, safety.

So far, my experience with this smart battery charger has been positive. Having a reliable and durable unit is also critical, which this one seems to be with its solid build and great display that shows charging in an easy visible way. It certainly feels like a well made charger rather than one of those cheap crap.
I even tested it on some old lead acid types using the repair or pulse recovery option. Sadly, I wasn’t able to bring them back completely.
But after investigating and conducting more tests, that’s not really a deficiency of the charger, those batteries probably had dead or damaged cells in them, something no charger can reasonably fix.
The pulse repair feature can assist with sulfation or weak batteries but cannot recover batteries that are already internally damaged.
Other than this, the charger does its job well in regular charging. It identifies the type of battery, initiates the multi-stage charging process, and carries out a consistent and safe charge.
The operation feels stable and reliable, and the built-in protections make it feel safe to leave connected.
Ultimately, while the repair feature didn’t revive those old batteries, the charger itself is well built and works effectively as a standard charger and maintainer.
