When deciding to move from a regular bike to a motorcycle, I bought the 80cc 2-stroke engine kit and tested it myself.
First and foremost, it’s fast, the motor is built with high-grade steel and can power you to 38 km/h, that’s a really safe speed by the way.
It completely transformed the way my bike rides: It feels as if I’m getting smooth acceleration and strong torque from a motorbike, not an electric bike.
Engine installation was surprisingly easy. All I had to do was bolt it onto the frame, hook up some wires and fill the gas tank, my motorcycle was ready to go in a matter of minutes.
It includes everything you need to motorize a bicycle, and the engine will come installed on its chrome plated frame with all the mounting hardware as well as included fuel tank, chain along with sprocket, tool kit and all of the other necessary parts.
It was fine on my 26” mountain bike, but will also work with 24” bikes as well as cruisers and road bikes so that’s pretty cool for a range of bicycles.
The thing that impressed me most was how quiet and smooth the engine sounded. It also was comfortable during the ride with no notable vibrations and with low noise for even a long ride, so great to use outside.
I even measured the fuel consumption, and it drank only 2.5 liters per 100 km, a feat that is achieved using a capacitor discharge ignition system designed for secure veins.

Everything was so neatly fit out on the 80cc bicycle engine kit that I had to comment about it as I tested.
Package came in good shape the kit was all there nothing broken, things felt “solid”. What I particularly liked was that it came with the appropriate fuel petcock for my bike, something that has made installation a lot easier when compared to some other kits I’ve used in the past.
I’ve been burned by a few other sellers in the past, tanks that were dented, parts that looked like trash, and even a chain which broke before I ever got to put one mile on it.
But, this time, the engine kicked into life straight off without any choke, and from the outset ran sweetly.
I was taking it for a ride, feeling the power and reliability right away. I was very impressed and bought it with a smile on my face you know how we all read specs online, so well done DJI.
Testing this engine kit, the first thing I learned is that you don’t want to tackle installation unless you have some /4/ (NO SATISFY NO PAY)
You need do prepare some basic hardware skills and takes at least 2-3 hours Local installations are highly recommended because of certain improvements additionally needed,but not included.
It was probably not more than 2-4 hours from mounting everything to tinkering with the chain, adjusting the carburetor and generally making stuff ready for a smooth ride.
If it’s your first time installing a bike engine, I highly recommend reading all instructions thoroughly and checking out some videos on YouTube (“IMAYCC 80cc bicycle engine kit” is really helpful). It made the setup more clear to me and saved me from many beginner errors.
The kit is totally complete, right down to the 2-stroke 80cc single cylinder petrol (displacement capacity) engine, they even supply a wired digital computer much to our surprise.
The power output is 2.1Kw at 5000rpm.What a difference it makes to acceleration and general riding speed compared to basic motor kit.
I could instantly feel the difference after installing this engine to my bike, it was a faster, tougher, and reliable ride perfect for long outdoor trips.
In my testing, the engine fired right up with the CDI ignition and ran consistently in part due to its air-cooled nature.
The 44-tooth sprocket and 110-link chain complemented each other well, making for smooth power transfer.
It works best for most 26–28 inch V-frame bikes, such as mountain, cruisers, motorcycles and road racing bikes.
I checked the size of the frame beforehand — you want to have at least 10 inches between the bottom bracket and the top tube. There was no installation after everything lined up.
The Kit comes with a 2.5L black teardrop tank that looks great on the bike and is of sufficient capacity to go far between tanks.
I used two fuel mixtures as recommended, 16:1 (on my first run) and then 20:1 after the engine was broken in.
On a flat road, cruising between 20–25 km/h I achieved a little over 2–2.5L of fuel consumption per 100 km and that’s got to be pretty efficient for the amount of power this engine produce.
All in all the engine acted good and seemed to stay reliable when I finally got it tuned in.

I recently bought and installed this bike engine kit, and while I encountered a couple of problems during installation, I’m really pleased with the end result.
At least, it sure sounds sweet when it’s running and the performance has been just fine. Since doing the install I haven’t had any 1st-Driving-Impressions type issues with how it rides or responds, so for me it was worth the effort.The installation, in once sense, was certainly interesting.
I mean the engine and parts are easy enough to follow, but the guidebook was a joke. Virtually every review I could find insisted to ignore it, and they were absolutely correct, I quit wasting time on this and went directly to YouTube for the visuals.
That made the process so much easier. Of course, there were certain things I had to figure out along the way.
For instance, the directions called for drilling out a hole in the handlebar for the throttle cable.
I don’t have a drill, so I used a center punch instead, and it worked perfectly for some reason.
The chain was another challenge, he said, because it is bigger than a traditional bicycle chain.
My regular chain breaker was useless, so I used my center punch and the spark plug remover out of the tool kit to punch out the links. It did take effort on my part, but it was effective.
Once the engine was in, dialed in and right however things were very easy.
That’s a great power feels-good sounding and overall it’s been very reliable. If you’re the sort of person who doesn’t mind a bit of DIY and watching a few tutorials, this engine offers amazing value for money.
For anyone who is curious, here are the tools I ended up using to do the install: regular pliers, needle nose pliers, ratchet with sockets, Phillips head screwdriver.
I also used punches (center punch or any metal rod) with a hammer and some Allen keys as well as tin snips for trimming rubber and zip ties for getting everything together plus lots of zip ties and electrical tape to get all the wires neatly hidden.
I recently tested this new 80CC Electric-start bike engine kit and was immediately struck by how easy it is to get started.
The electric start feature is a major upgrade, no more pulling strings or fighting with pedals to get the engine going.
The motor starts with the briefest press of a button, be that on my way to work or out for weekend rides, and I honestly think it makes all the difference.
It fits my stand sized 26″ bike just fine with no modifications. Once I got it all set up, the performance really surprised me.

Trying out Ireliajob 80CC electric-start engine kit, I could already tell it was going to be a good upgrade for my bike.
The electric start fired right up, and as I wheeled the thing out onto the track it felt so good and powerful. I also loved the way you could conquer hills and achieve faster speeds without struggling.

My wife’s cousin ordered this engine kit through my Amazon account, and he’s ridden it over 400 miles so far.
From what I’ve seen, it’s been a solid and enjoyable upgrade for his bike. The engine provides good power and speed, making longer rides much easier and more fun.
Of course, after so many miles, a few parts have come loose or needed replacing. From my experience, it’s a good idea to take out the bolts and use Loctite to secure them during installation.
Other than that, the kit has held up really well, and overall it’s been a great purchase.Based on seeing it in action and hearing his feedback, I would definitely recommend this engine kit to anyone looking to motorize their bicycle. It’s reliable, fun to ride, and worth the investment.

I thought it was tough when I first began constructing my motorized bicycle with this kit at hand.
My original bike frame was also a tight squeeze for all the gear, while aligning the sprockets took more effort than I had anticipated.
Actually, I also upgraded to a slightly larger bike because the first frame I bought was too small for me. After some online tutorials, it started to click and installing was easier.
I even did some standalone upgrades, say swapped the stock tensioner for a spring-loaded unit and changed the rear sprocket from a 42T to a 36T in order to enhance its performance.
Once I got everything tuned and did one break-in period (1/2 of a tank of fuel), the engine ended up running like warm butter, “Egyptian cotton.” It is of good performance and fairly sturdy for the price.
The only thing that I would highly recommend is replacing the supplied bolts, nuts and mounts before install because these are easy to strip or break.
And while the directions that accompany the kit are somewhat esoteric, I’ve had a great time riding every single day since.
Once you have it up and running, this motor kit is a fun and dependable entry-level solution for anyone who wants to break into the world of motorized bikes.
